About Me

Your MNU Certified Nutritionist

Hi, I’m Claire.

I’m a married mum of three based in Milton Keynes.
I’m also a Certified MNU Nutritionist — and someone who’s been exactly where you are.

For many of us, our 40s and 50s should be a time when life settles down and we finally get a little “me time” back. But for so many people, it’s actually when life can feel heavier.

  • Parents become ill or pass away.
  • Teenage or young adult children can bring new worries.
  • Careers lose their spark or become too stressful.
  • Relationships change.

And for many women, perimenopause or menopause adds another layer of exhaustion, anxiety, and confusion.

That was me.

My Story

A few years ago, I was dealing with sudden bereavement, caring for a parent, crazy levels of stress at work, burnout – and the physical and emotional toll of perimenopause. I had constant brain fog, anxiety, chronic insomnia, and debilitating fatigue. My weight slowly crept up, even though I’d eaten healthily and exercised regularly for over 20 years. Eventually, I honestly didn’t care about what I was eating and even the thought of exercise felt far too exhausting.

I knew my weight was creeping into a dangerously unhealthy zone. The clothes I felt good in before didn’t fit anymore and every single morning I would reach for black leggings and a long t-shirt or jumper. Like many people, I was so busy looking after everyone else that my own nutrition, movement, and mental wellbeing were the last things on my mind or list of things to do. I wanted to lose weight and feel better but I found myself completely overwhelmed with knowing where to start.

Eat less? Eat more? Fast? Don’t fast?
Keto? Vegan? Fast 800? Weight Watchers? Slimming World?
Magic supplements? Miracle plans that work in two weeks?

The noise was relentless and these days it’s even noisier with the added option of weight loss injections.. to jab or not to jab??

Will it work? Will it make me feel ill? Is it dangerous?
Will I put the weight back on? Can I afford it? Is it worth it?

Eventually I reached a point where I realised that my health was the one thing I could control.

The Changes I Made

One night, wide awake at 3am and feeling anxious and frustrated, I decided enough was enough. I didn’t want to hear or read about any more gimmicky claims or ‘Insta nonsense’ – I wanted facts.

Real science. Real answers.

So I went back to study and completely changed my career. I retrained as an MNU Certified Nutritionist. I chose this qualification because it’s grounded in credible, peer-reviewed PROVEN scientific evidence. No fads. No gimmicks. No Instagram nonsense.

Just what actually works — and why.

Now I want to help others to do what I learned to do myself.
